PDP’s Seriake Dickson Declared Winner Of Bayelsa Guber Polls With 134,998 Votes

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been declared winner of the governorship election in Bayelsa State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s Returning Officer, Professor Zana Akpagu, announced the PDP candidate, Governor Seriake Dickson, as winner after the collation of results from the supplementary elections that held Saturday in Southern Ijaw LGA and in 101 other polling units across the state.

According to Akpagu, Dickson garnered a total of 134, 998 votes to defeat his main challenger, Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who polled 86, 852 votes.
A breakdown of the election figures show that a total of 232, 167 votes were cast with 225, 520 counted as total valid votes while total number of rejected votes was 6, 647.
